Family sessions usually consist of pictures of the whole family, sibling pictures and then individual shots of children. As a photographer, I love taking funny, honest “lifestyle shots” of my clients that interact with each other, as well as taking multiple pictures. I have a GREAT resource for families on what they should wear. Whatever the occasion, it’s helpful to know ahead of time so you can plan which photos to take during your family photography session.
Every photographer has a unique way of doing their family photography sessions outdoors to achieve the desired result. In other cases, families simply want to have an entire family session together in all photos. Sometimes the customer wants to incorporate something useful into their family photo session, such as a new car or a special toy that their child loves. Some customers love the idea of having an urban family photo session in town, while other customers love the idea of walking on dirt roads and posing in front of rustic barns.
